Health insurance has risen much, much faster than inflation has the last 10 years. Most have gotten notices that their health insurance costs are going up 10% and more next year. The health insurance companies brought all this on themslelves. Their CEOs get billions in bonuses, well that money has to come from somewhere. I dont like government running health care insurance and I dont like the health insurance companies forcing my doctor to do what they want them to do.

Until recently I didnt know that the health insurance companies were exempt from the anti-trust laws.

Why on earth anyone would choose to have the government run something as sensitive and important as health care is beyond me. Why does everyone feel that they are entitled to FREE health care? While we are at it, I want free groceries and free car. Why not, I deserve it because I have a pulse and was born on the right side of the border! There is one lesson I have learned in life thus far, and that is, you get what you pay for! "Free" (funded almost exclusively by our countries top earners and innovators) health care will be a disaster on the grandest of scales. Granted, the system is broken and there are sweeping changes to be made, but forcing a public option on people isn't the answer. Government will ruin the excellent health care available in this country.
